We’re Hiring! Cheese Deli Assistant with Barista Skills

We’re looking for a friendly, confident, and enthusiastic team member to join our cheese
Availability:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays (possibly Fridays)
- 6–7 hr shifts between 8:30–4:30
- At least 4 weekend shifts per month
- Extra hours in December
Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting cheese to suit their needs and products to pair with their cheese
- Prepare and pack customer orders including wholesale orders
- Stock control and Adminstratoon. This includes answering emails, labelling courier boxes and navigating the Website, raising invoices and answering the telephone.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the Walk in and Deli fridges
- Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
- Operate cash register and handle customer transactions
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience in a Cheesy environment or a real passion for Cheese and previous experience dealing With accounts Is desirable
- Adminstration experience including social media and adobe. Ability to manage multiple email accounts
- Knowledge of Cheese, cutting and wrapping skills and excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to serve in the cafe area, Barista skills, clean down tables, wash up etc when the cafe area is busy.
Ability to carry out basic catering tasks such as sandwich making. willing to work on all events out of shop hours, this includes baby showers, birthday parties, wine tastings and bistro nights.
Ability to carry out basic administration tasks including responding to emails, placing orders updating Facebook and instagram and using Xero to raise invoices

Hours initially Weds 9.30-2.00 Friday 9.30-2.30 9-3 Saturday for Training from September moving to Tuesday & Thursday and occasional Fridays along with 4 weekend shifts a month depending on the rota. This will work out as a minimum of 19 hrs a week but likely between 20-30hrs
Increasing to cover Christmas from 1/12 ability to work 4/5 days a week from 8-5 desirable
