Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Counter Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with medication administration and patient care. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively will be essential in ensuring a smooth operation within our pharmacy.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with their inquiries at the counter.
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Assist in medication administration under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Maintain an organised and clean workspace, ensuring all products are well-stocked and displayed.
- Provide information to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
Experience
- Previous experience in a pharmacy would be preferred.
- Familiarity with medication administration practices is beneficial.
- A background in patient care will be an advantage, showcasing your commitment to health and wellbeing.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
