We are looking for someone to join our Roost on a part-time fixed term basis, with the successful candidate working 15 hours - Tuesday to Friday - 4.30pm - 8pm. Our new Customer Service Advisor / Housekeeper will become a key part of our existing, friendly and experienced property team at our Dobbie's Point Property in Glasgow.

...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Hours: 15 per week

Salary: £9,828.00 per annum (pro-rata)

Employment dates: start date to be agreed upon availability

Are you a multi-tasking superstar, who recognises that the environment a student chooses to call home during their studies is paramount to their success and wellbeing? As a Housekeeper at Student Roost, you will join the rest of the onsite property team in being the face of Student Roost for our wonderful residents. The integral service youll provide is just one of the amazing ways that we keep customer service and safety at the top of our agenda.

Youll provide a first-class cleaning service within our purpose-built student accommodation, and ensure that all assigned areas, whether thats our amazing communal spaces or individual resident rooms, are clean, neat and tidy. Youll have amazing attention to detail, so that your property is always looking sparkling and inviting. The pride you take in your work will be visible for all to see, so that our residents can be equally proud of their home away from home.

Are you a people person, who recognises how delivering exceptional student support can translate to an overall experience that is about more than just a room? Here at Student Roost, we pride ourselves on offering an enhanced experience for our residents and our Customer Service Advisors are at the forefront of making this a reality for the thousands of students who live with us each year.

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for residents, across a wide range of services: from the moment a potential resident comes to see what were about, right the way through their journey with us to check out. Youre an important part of our residents stay, supporting students who might need to report a maintenance issue, collect a parcel, ask for directions or simply need to chat. Every interaction matters, which is exactly why you matter.

Think youre the right fit for this role? We hope so too.

Youll be someone we can count on to:

OWN

  • Champion amongst the team the importance of a safe and clean environment for everyone within it, and always lead by example.
  • Be a customer-service superstar! Your friendly face may be the first to greet a resident in the morning or one that welcomes them home at the end of a long day. As a Customer Service Advisor, you will know the strength of your smile.
  • Be at the forefront of establishing effective and suitable stock control measures. Youre the expert at what is needed and when, so it makes sense for you to take full ownership of this important requirement.
  • Treat every enquiry with significant importance, taking personal pride in ensuring all enquiries are responded to swiftly and politely.
  • Be an expert in our properties in the city and actively searching for new leads able to clearly articulate what we offer to prospective residents.
  • Every student is different and so are the teams that work in our properties. Dont leave your personality at the door and please bring your whole self to work its this you we want to see every day.

DO

  • Always strive for the best, being responsible for the sparkling finish in all assigned areas of your property whether thats our communal areas, stairwells, student rooms or communal kitchens.
  • Adopt an unapologetic safety-first approach to operating safe and secure properties in line with all statutory, legal, and moral obligations, helping to ensure that safety and welfare needs are never overlooked.
  • Youll never walk past a problem ensuring that your property is inviting, well-maintained and safe at all times.

LEARN

  • Get off to the Best Start Ever and learn the Student Roost way of doing things. We take enormous pride in doing a great job and delivering exceptional results and our online learning platform will make sure youre equipped with all the skills you need.
  • Our properties are where our residents live but theyre also our shop windows. Youll be the expert in how to present ourselves in the best possible light and know, inside out, the requirements of your property whether thats compliance, health and safety or, quite simply, what looks right.

COLLABORATE

  • Work closely with the onsite team to make sure that everyones life is made just that little bit easier.
  • Our value Be Bold, Be Heard instils an open culture where we want to hear new ideas and how we can implement solutions to improve.
  • Work with your colleagues to better deliver an enhanced resident experience that might be getting stuck in to support keeping the property clean and tidy, or supporting your manager with ad hoc tasks. Youll be an all rounder who enjoys no two days being the same.

The us part

So you know what were looking for, but what are you looking for from your next employer? Sure, Student Roost has a portfolio of purpose-built student accommodation properties across the UK but more than that, Student Roost is its people.

While we strive to put our residents first, our people also include those at the heart of what we do: the property teams, Night Owls, support staff, HQ teams and more who help to keep ours a 24/7/365-day home away from home for everyone who chooses to live with us. We ask that you seek to make a difference every day you show up, and in return well show up for you by rewarding whats right, supporting you in your career growth and aspirations, and championing the unique qualities and ideas that only you can bring to the business.

Simply put: you do you, so we grow together.

Psst… there are some challenges too

  • Clearing up after a fun weekend: We all like to have fun, and this is certainly true for our residents. There may be a requirement for you to clear up common space that has been partied in over the weekend. This is not the most fun job, but you will be provided with full PPE as we want to make sure you are being kept safe.
  • Summer turnaround: This is when our residents leave us and its the busiest time in our calendar. It can involve clearing out residents rooms, checking the contract cleaners are doing their jobs, and just generally helping out.
