Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cook with Enhanced DBS/CRB to join our team in preparing delicious meals in a Care Home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and be experienced in food preparation and safety standards.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following our menu and recipes
- Assist in planning menus, estimating food requirements, and costs
- Ensure all food preparation meets food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organised kitchen
- Help with meal preparation during busy periods
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Understanding of various cooking methods and procedures
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Excellent time management skills
