Modality LLP is a large-scale provider of Specialist NHS Services, renowned for its innovative approach to delivering efficient pathways for patients requiring specialist care, leading to high quality patient outcomes. We work in partnership with a number of hospitals across the country to collaboratively redesign outpatient services with more care being delivered in community settings.
We are looking to expand our specialist team by recruiting a Clinical Fellow GP within all of the following services: ADHD, Cardiology, Dermatology, ENT, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology, Surgical Specialities and Urology. We are seeking dedicated postholders to join our team and who can display our CARE values: Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. Salary for this role is £10,250 per session.

Main duties of the job:
Clinical Fellows will be supported to undertake a postgraduate specialist diploma qualification together with protected time. They will build a portfolio of evidence including in the day-to-day assessment, management, monitoring and follow up of patients referred to the service. The Clinical Fellow will support continuous improvement of standards and the quality of patient care delivered through the service, through audits, MDTs, research, and other modalities.
Please note that we require Clinical Fellows to sign up to a 2-year commitment contract with Modality LLP in order to be eligible for these roles. The 2-year commitment contract requires candidates to repay costs associated with the Clinical Fellowship programme i.e. education and training costs, should they leave the organisation within 2 years post-completion of the clinical fellowship.

- Over 15 years of experience of delivering community outpatient services
- Contracts with ICBs and hospital providers
- A diverse clinical workforce of consultants, GPs with extended roles, specialist nurses and allied health professionals
- Delivery of over 120,000 patient consultations per year
- Delivery of 1st consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral from a choice of community locations, 7 days per week

Clinical Responsibilities:
- Training alongside the Clinical Lead to see new and follow up patients under supervision.
- Training alongside the admin teams to undertake triage of referrals, actioning of investigation results, completion of letters etc.
- Undertake quality improvement projects with the Clinical Lead to ensure that the service is compliant with CQC regulations and acting promptly to implement any necessary governance requirements e.g., clinical audits, development of SOPs etc.
- Contributing to MDT meetings with the service clinical team to discuss interesting/difficult cases, formulate strategies for improvement and share best practice/learning from complaints and incidents.
- Ad hoc supervision for medical students, trainee nurses and HCAs.
- Complete the Modality specialist educational portfolio to evidence experience leading to formal GPwER qualification.
- Diagnosis and management of broad range of clinical conditions expected to be seen within the specialty service.
- Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation.
- Contributing to the development of computer-based patient records.

Qualifications and Experience: We require high performing team members to join our team with:
Professional GMC registration and appropriate qualifications.
Specialist diploma within specialty area
Experience of working within community/secondary care.
A strong understanding and experience of out of hospital care/community specialist services.
Experience of working between primary and secondary care settings.
Full driving licence and the ability to travel between service locations.
Knowledge:
Risk management awareness and able to assess clinical risk.
Experience of using clinical systems such as SYSTMONE.
Able to work effectively in a team, supporting others and challenging colleagues’ views and attitudes when necessary
Skills:
Strong IT skills.
Able assess a situation, set priorities and problem solve quickly and effectively.
Personal Qualities:
Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload with minimal supervision working to tight and often changing timescales.
Attention to detail.
Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
Able to work unsupervised.
Ability to be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the service.
