Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, The Chequers is a well-established country pub, hotel, and function venue located in the charming village of Ullesthorpe. We’re seeking a passionate and driven operator to take the reins and unlock its full potential.
The pub is a characterful, multi-room operation benefitting from a traditional and welcoming layout with cozy snugs, darts, pool, and over 80 dining covers.
It also benefits from a spacious function room as well as separate area perfect for weddings, parties, and events, seating over 80 guests.
In terms of outdoor space, there is a beer garden located at the front of the pub with seating for 60 and a large car park with 40+ spaces, ideal for destination dining and weekend trade.
The Chequers also has letting rooms - there are 11 en-suite guest rooms, providing steady overnight business and longer-stay potential. Current split is 60/20/20 (wet led) delivering weekly sales of around £9,500 gross.
The Chequers also has a large commercial kitchen well-equipped to deliver the Marston's community menu.
