Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, particularly in the community. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving the care they require.
Duties
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client health or behaviour.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in caregiving.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a caregiver in home care, assisted living, or hospice care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
- A valid driver's licence.
