Job description
We require a car parking attendant to work within the Newport City Area. A full driving license is required.
Hours of Work - 4 on 4 off -
5.50am - 2.45pm
2.45pm - 12.00 midnight
The role specification is as follows:
1.
Ensuring that necessary procedures are adopted to make the kiosk and the entry and exit equipment available for normal safe operation at the commencement of the working day.
2.
Carry out Traffic management measures to ensure safe and controlled use of car parks by appropriate signing, coning and marshalling.
3.
Maintaining kiosks, lifts, stairwells and parking areas including inspection, security, cleanliness and lighting
4.
Equipment monitoring of the car parks with regard to the time clock, ticket dispensing equipment, reconciliation of cash, analysis of outgoing tickets and associated matters.
5.
Undertaking or assisting with repairs to equipment. Reporting malfunctions which cannot be remedied immediately.
6.
Ensuring that at the end of the working day correct procedures are maintained in respect of securing the kiosk and associated equipment, removing signs and bollards, reconciling cash receipts and maintaining records, securing the lifts and other such tasks as may be necessary at the close of the working day
7.
Complying with council procedures in the event of a confrontation incident with customers always ensuring own safety.
8.
Controlling/marshalling traffic within the Car Parks to ensure optimum traffic flows in high usage events
9.
Providing assistance in a courteous manner to members of the public and where necessary referring their queries to Senior Attendants.
Carrying out risk assessments of sites and management of potential conflict with customers and members of the public.
10.
Responding as necessary during time of equipment malfunction, to ensure that the Car Parks operation is maintained.
11.
Deputising for Senior Car Park’s Officer as and when required.
12.
To take reasonable care of own and others safety; to co-operate with manager/ supervisors in complying with statutory health & safety duties; to report incidents, accidents, faults.
Pay: £11.44 per hour
