We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in bricklaying. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, and other materials. The successful applicant will work on various projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications.
- Prepare surfaces for masonry work by cleaning and applying mortar.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople , to ensure project success.
- Follow safety procedures all of the time especially while working on roofs or elevated surfaces.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Experience
- Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential.
- Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Experience working alongside other trades such as carpentry or welding is advantageous.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
