In this role you will be supporting a gentleman with a brain injury who has complex needs and communication difficulties, within his own home and in the community. The role will include working alongside other support workers, family, management, and a team of private therapists to support the client’s ongoing rehabilitation.
Personal care duties are essential in this role.

You will be supporting him in his day-to-day activities, to participate in outings, events, and activities and to spend quality time with his family. At times, you will be required to support our client to go on holiday.
The ideal candidate for this role will be friendly, reliable, trustworthy, motivated, and be able to follow direction from colleagues and external professionals. It is essential that professional boundaries are always maintained as well as respect and dignity of the client.
You will be required to follow the client-specific support plan and company policies during your duties.
You will receive an induction, out-of-hours support, regular supervision, on-going professional development, and training.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offender’s Act.
All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a care/support role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Available to work on a rota basis
- Flexibility
- Punctuality and good timekeeping
- Full driving licence & confidence to drive a wheelchair adapted vehicle
- A good sense of humour

- Able to complete the physical aspects of the role such as manual handling where needed
- IT literate (for the purpose of completing notes)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience/knowledge working with brain injury clients
- Experience/knowledge of challenging behaviour
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Qualifications in relation to health and social care
- Day Rate: £12.92 per hour (7am until 10pm)
- Waking Night Rate: £12.92 per hour (8pm until 8am)
- Sleep-In Rate: £87.12 per night (10pm until 7am)
Shift Pattern: 12 hour shifts 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am.
You will be required to work different shifts inclusive of days, nights, and sleep-ins. Shifts are allocated on a rota basis. Specific requirements can be discussed at interview stage.
Please Note: Support Workers will be employed directly by our client, but will be recruited and managed by Core Case Management Ltd.
