The Role

SALARY: Starting from £38,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)

REPORTS TO: Head of Land

LOCATION: Cardiff, Wales

The Land Administration Officer will work with the land team and stakeholders across a range of Energy Park Sites and will be responsible for collating and recording land spend across the portfolio, passing accurate and timely data to the finance team for payment and support the land team to track against the annual budget, accounting for any accurate recording of change control. The Land Administration Officer will report to the Head of Land ensuring project updates and risks ratings are managed through providing information for board meeting reports.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the land team with the creation of purchase orders (POs) for any new appointments / variations and liaise with consultants for a smooth invoice process / tracking spend against PO.
  • Work with the land teams in the drafting of Contract Approval Forms (CAFs) for contract work, ensuring collation and timely submission of for all necessary approvals.
  • Prepare evidence for Land Managers to approve land related invoices.
  • Regularly meet with the project teams to gather and record all land related costings.
  • Analyse spend and forecast of Land project costs against the agreed baseline and communicate it to the Senior Land Manager for the Cluster Project Teams to ensure effective progress, and funding sources.
  • Administer land budget change through robust record keeping and change control mitigation to ensure that only documented and authorised changes are made at the right level.
  • Ensure accurate data is collated and shared in a timely manner to the finance team for prompt payment runs.
  • Support the annual budget process for the land team.
  • Handle additional land administrative duties as required.
  • Ability to build budget tracker for post construction site payments

  • Proficiency in monitoring project performance against agreed baselines and identifying any deviations of budget
  • Knowledge of Financial Systems (Sage Intacct preferable but not required)
  • Motivated and comfortable working as part of a team or on an individual
  • Welsh language skills would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of accounts payable, invoice processing, reconciliations, VAT returns, and payment processes is advantageous

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in working with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in a high-paced team environment
  • Proven experience in an accounts executive or similar financial operations role
  • Experience working within a complex, ideally within a growing or dynamic industry
