Location: Home-based

Salary: £22,932 per annum

The Administration Support Officer will provide efficient and well-ordered administrative support to the National Programmes team colleagues and day-to-day operations of the programmes. The National Programmes Team operates within the Youth Impact domain of The Children's Society and leads a portfolio of programmes to support the wellbeing of children and young people.

Your tasks will include:

  • Support the development and maintenance of comprehensive administration systems.
  • Support National Programme Managers and/or Service Managers with the collation and analysis of data for funder/organisational reports and audits.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues and professionals to ensure quality standards are evident in all aspects of work with children and young people.

Skills and Experiences:

Essential

  • The ability to prioritise and manage own workload, adapting to new systems and software.
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft packages including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and outlook
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with managers and staff at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Previous experience of working in an administrative position in a paid or voluntary capacity.

Desirable

  • A previous role in the charity sector supporting with administration.
  • Experience in working or volunteering for an organisation that supports children or young people.
