The Children's Literacy Charity is a registered charity working alongside primary school pupils who struggle to read and write. Our vision is to close the literacy gap for all disadvantaged children, enabling them to achieve their true potential.
We are looking for an organised and diligent administrator to support the charity’s range of literacy programmes, which are delivered by specialist tutors in our partner schools.
The role will prepare resources for our Literacy Labs, Reading Labs and Story Labs as well as co-ordinating our Reader Leader training programme bookings between schools and training partners, ensuring all the relevant materials are provided for effective and engaging training sessions.
You will also support the wider central office team with general office administration; managing room bookings, ordering office and resourcing supplies, responding to general enquiries and providing accurate record keeping and data management.
Working closely with our education specialists, you will be part of a committed team that is delivering life-changing literacy interventions to children that most need it.
You will have solid experience of working in an administrative role, have excellent attention to detail, be able to reliably travel to central London and have adaptability to the needs of a small evolving charity. Experience in education, charity or start-up is advantageous as is Salesforce user knowledge (or similar CRM).
The role is fixed term for one year with the potential to be extended. It is anticipated that the hours will be worked across multiple days with some hybrid working.
The role is initially for 1 year with the potential to be extended with an actual salary of £10,000 per annum.
Please apply via our website and fully complete the application form (we do not accept CVs). The closing date is Friday 22nd August 2025.
