An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Quality department at our Elgin headquarters. Working within the Quality team, the successful candidates will support the business in delivering world class woven products to some of the most prestigious global luxury brands.
This is a full time, permanent position within our Quality department, reporting to one of our Private Label Technologists.
Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8:00-17:00, and Friday, 8:00-12:00. A reduced working week of 34 hours may also be considered.
Salary is starting from £24,897 per annum, dependent on experience.
Role Description:
The key areas of responsibilities will include:
- Providing administrative support for the Quality team
- Coordinate and oversee finished goods testing for Private Label customers, by liaising with partner laboratories to ensure alignment with customer requirements
- Collaborate with the planning and production departments to schedule testing as products move through the production process in order to meet on time delivery targets
- Manage incoming test reports and address test failures by notifying production management and customer teams, for prompt resolution
- Creating and managing associated purchase orders and invoicing
- Providing administrative support on our Private Label quality accreditation systems , such as meeting minutes, supporting production practical assessments, issuing of weekly reports etc
- Participating in the risk assessment process and sign off meetings for new products being launched, including organising the setup of relevant process and standards within the factory and with subcontractors
- Learning Technical role on some private label accounts, with the associated responsibilities
- Covering Private label technologist role during annual leave.
About You
The below are essential to the role:
- Previous experience working in woven textiles is desirable but not essential.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines .
- Proficient in MS Office software, in particular MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently of others and as part of a broader team.
- Good colour vision.
- Willingness to train and learn with Technical team.
