Residential Conveyancing Administration Assistant
We are looking for an organised and efficient Administration Assistant to join our busy Residential Conveyancing team based at our Gloucester Road office.
The successful applicant will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the conveyancing team which currently comprises three Lawyers, a Legal Secretary and a Trainee Solicitor.
The role
This role is very varied, but on a daily basis you will be responsible for:
- Opening new files and inserting dates into the system to enable documents to be processed correctly.
- Scanning documents onto the system and putting them into the correct folders.
- Assisting the fee earners working on a paperlght/paperless basis where possible.
- Providing quotes, updating estate agents, and applying for searches when required.
- Assisting with compliance and ID checks through our search facility.
- Sending necessary deeds and documents to clients and preparing files for closure.
In addition to this, you will be required to assist with other administrative tasks in order to support our busy team. This will include some reception cover during lunch times and holiday cover.

The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced administrator, preferably with experience working in a law firm
- Hold a GSCE, grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Have experience in filing and paper management
- Be confident using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Outlook
Location and working hours
- Full-time (office hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5.15pm)
- The role is based at our Bishopston office but with the option to apply for hybrid working upon successful completion of your probation
Salary
The salary for this role is £23,751 per annum.
