Job Title: Academy Coordinator
Location: Scotstoun
Salary: Up to £37,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for all administrative and coordination tasks including managing room bookings, ensuring governance and compliance across information and materials management, delegate experience and record keeping
Undertake a range of specialist administrative duties that are specific to the Academy ensuring deliverables are completed in a timely manner and support key operational requirements
Work professionally and represent the Academy through liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring needs are met, on time and to the required standard
Work as a fully contributory member of the Academy team, ensuring a ‘one team’ approach and seamless transition of people, events and training within the Academy and support for everyone to ensure smooth running of the Academy
Responsible for leading SHE responsible behaviours and understands the importance of Health, Safety & Environment requirements within the workplace and proactively facilitates any health and safety actions in support of a compliant Academy environment
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Previous experience as an Administrator with the ability to plan and prioritise work, with a good understanding of secretarial and technical administration tasks including related systems, policies and processes
Ability to communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy and articulate information in a logical and concise way with internal and external Stakeholders
Effective stakeholder management and collaboration (cross functional and customer focussed)
Desirable:
Significant experience in providing an administrative service or other functional experience from within the organisation
Good standard of general education

The BAE Systems Applied Shipbuilding Academy is an extraordinary and exciting centre for learning, based in Scotstoun, Glasgow, that enables outstanding development opportunities for our entire workforce and helps secure a strong future talent pipeline. The Academy is developing our core capabilities by creating a body of applied knowledge, based on our decades of shipbuilding experience, and aims to spread this knowledge sector wide for the benefit of the whole shipbuilding industry.
