Job Details
The duties of the role are to provide a case management service to young people involved in crime and antisocial behaviour. You would help to develop, support and deliver youth diversion projects in conjunction with a range of internal and external partner. You would also represent SCT on operational youth issues groups.
Key aspects of the role include:
Supporting the work of SCT and relevant partners
Being the point of contact for all operational youth issues
Representing SCT on the Youth Offender Management Review Group contributing to strategy development and participating in practice reviews.
Working alongside partner agencies
Supporting young people and their families to address issues around offending behaviour
Providing reports to the Procurator Fiscal Service, Scottish Children's Reporter Association, partnership groups and Service Manager and where appropriate attending children's hearings
Undertaking enquiries for casework and finding solutions to complex cases
Supporting problem solving groups to tackle problems/issues and tasking local partners to undertake necessary work to identify solutions. Arranging and attending problem solving groups where required.
The Person
You are required to hold one of the following qualifications (or equivalent):
- Educated to SCQF level 7 which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge of tasking and co-ordinating methodology
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to provide a regular and effective service
- Experience of participation in effective multi agency working Knowledge of information sharing legislation

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
