Duties
- Plan and implement educational and recreational activities tailored to the interests and needs of the youth.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to young individuals, helping them set and achieve personal goals.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all members.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and community organisations to support the development of youth programmes.
- Monitor the progress of participants, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for all participants, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills related to special education and youth work.
Skills
- Experience working with children or young people, demonstrating an understanding of their unique needs.
- Strong mentoring abilities, with a focus on building trust and rapport with youth.
- Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with youth and stakeholders.
- Ability to educate young people on various topics, fostering their personal growth.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution within group settings.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
