Workshop Mechanic / Plant Fitter
Are you a skilled and motivated mechanic with a passion for maintaining and repairing HGV, forklift and agricultural plant machinery? Forklift / HGV Mechanic / Plant Fitter.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine service, maintenance, and repairs on Commercials, fork truck and Agricultural Plant machinery, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance.
· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, and carry out efficient and effective repairs.
· Conduct annual thorough inspections to appreciate previsions. Ensure fleet is maintained to MOT standards
· Provide prompt and reliable on-site breakdown support occasionally but generally workshop based.
· Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to company policy and health and safety guidelines and within agreed timeframes.
Requirements:
· NVQ in Plant Mechanics (preferred, but experience is more essential).
· Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Mechanic or similar role within construction plant maintenance.
· Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Full UK driving license.
