Job Summary
To provide an efficient and welcoming service to all customers to York Theatre Royal ensuring that service is efficient, prompt, friendly and attentive to customer needs.
Job Description
To work at the theatre bar and café bar, ensuring it is always fully stocked and well-presented and service is efficient and prompt
To act as usher during performances and events, as required
To support the kitchen, by promptly serving food to customers and assisting with the smooth running of a high quality food service
To ensure a high level of presentation in the public areas at all times, assisting with cleaning as required
To ensure that high standards of service are maintained at all times by being informed and engaged
To follow YTR's procedures for financial transaction and accurate record keeping
To be aware of and abide by licensing regulations at all times
To attend regular meetings and training as appropriate
To maintain a high standard of personal presentation at all times
To carry out other specific duties that may be required
Job Requirements
Essential
Experience of working in a busy bar
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
An organised and reliable person with good time management skills
A great team player
The ability to work during busy Christmas and school holiday times
Desirable
Barista trained
An interest in theatre
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
