Salary: £12.75 per hour

Contract/duration: Fixed Term Contract until 30-Sep-2025

Hours/working pattern: This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible.

Typical shifts may range from Zero hours to 3 shifts of 7.5 hours per week. Weekend working will be a requirement in this role.

Potential start date: ASAP

A full driving licence is required.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a welcome team working across our landscapes, coast, and beaches. The role is based at Hive Beach, Burton Bradstock, with some regular days at Hardy Monument and Stonebarrow on the Golden Cap estate.

The team have an active presence roaming across other National Trust locations in West Dorset such as Lambert’s Castle and Ringstead.

You will be an excellent team player helping to create a great place for your colleagues (staff and volunteers) to work in.


What you'll be doing:Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.

Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.

You will be happy working alone, outdoors and on your feet in all weathers, and have a flexible attitude to moving between sites. You will identify tasks, prioritise your time and check in with other team members. You will be conscientious and take pride in looking after the daily operation and presentation of the place you work each day.
