Reporting to the Site Manager the Weighbridge Operator is accountable for the smooth operation of the Weighbridge facility and acts as point of contact for customers and is responsible for ensuring that all legal obligations and regulations are met.

Key accountabilities
- Direct traffic coming onto site and operate weighbridge.
- Check incoming loads, ensuring compliance with site licences.
- Accurately record weights & waste type by vehicle, completing appropriate documentation and collect driver signatures.
- Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.
- Making sure waste transfer notes are correct, and all customers supply them when delivering.
- Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors.
- Ensure weighbridge customers sign in and are aware of site rules.
- Make sure that vehicles delivering to site have the correct paperwork and EWC codes.
- Ensure that vehicles have the necessary paperwork for forward movements from the site to destination.
- Comply with all Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Deal with telephone email queries from customers promptly.
- File fuel receipts ready to mark off fuel invoices.
- Manage the hub casing sheets.
- Keep track of expired waste carriers licence certificates (WCL) and update records with new WCL received.
- Administer retail collections data on to the RoadRunner System
- Provide retail collections paperwork to Transport and other relevant departments.
- Contact retail collection customers to arrange posterior collections.
- Deal promptly and effectively with problems within your control and report those that cannot be solved, or outside your permitted authority.
- To undertake additional responsibilities as and when required to support delivery of the operation.
