Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and valued. A passion for hospitality and a keen attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring that all dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Assist with food preparation when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of culinary practices.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, using basic maths skills for billing purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- A solid understanding of food safety practices is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
- A background in culinary arts or kitchen operations is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for the role is key!
