Job title: Seasonal weed control operative

Working hours: 40 per week (07:00 - 17:30 Mon to Thu)
Role summary:
To service client contracts for controlling unwanted weed growth on a multitude of sites throughout the south of the UK including highways, parks, industrial sites, and schools. Ensuring that work is delivered to a high standard, following company policies, and in line with client expectations.
Key responsibilities:
Punctual and reliable arrival at central office to travel on to client sites in a company vehicle.
Calibrating and maintaining spraying equipment.
Working in line with company policies and safe work systems and ensuring that correct PPE is always worn.Spraying weeds to the clients’ specification whilst ensuring good and accurate coverage of the site.
Completing daily work records.
Ensuring good communication between site and office.
Working as part of a team.
Effectively communicating with the management team.
Person Specification
Knowledge
Essential:
Ability to interpret written instructions and pesticide product labels.
Experience
Essential:
Experience in or a keen interest in the grounds maintenance industry.
Desirable:
Grounds maintenance background or experience with weed control.
Experience of working with industrial / local authority clients.
Training and qualifications
Desirable:
UK Driving licence.
First aid certificate.
PA1/PA6A/PA2 certification .
