Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring efficient logistics processes, and leading a team to maintain high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee stock control processes using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Train, mentor, and lead warehouse staff to achieve operational goals and maintain high performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
- Implement efficient business processes to optimise workflow and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any shipping issues.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring safe handling of materials at all times.
Skills
- A strong knowledge of Pakistani and Indian foods is essential, as the majority of our products are ethnic-based. This expertise is crucial for quickly adapting and maintaining accuracy in our operations.
- Proficiency in logistics management, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as necessary for warehouse duties.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with business processes that enhance operational efficiency within the warehouse setting.
- Strong team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.
