Job Overview
Cargo Solutions Group Pty Ltd is one of the top 3PL companies in Australia. Due to rapid growth, we have established Cargo Solutions Group UK Pty Ltd and are expanding quickly in the UK market.
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Team Leader with experience in 3PL/logistics operations to lead day-to-day warehouse activities, manage inbound, putaway, outbound, and returns processes, oversee supplier performance, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound & Goods Receiving
● Supervise the unloading of containers and inbound shipments
● Check deliveries based on Purchase Order, ensuring accuracy and quality compliance
● Coordinate the putaway of stock into warehouse locations
Putaway, Replenishment & Stock Handling
● Lead stock allocation, replenishment, and bin-to-bin transfers
● Ensure efficient use of warehouse space and adherence to FIFO/FEFO where required
● Monitor inventory flow to support picking and packing operations
Outbound & Dispatch
● Oversee picking, packing, and loading of customer orders
● Ensure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in line with client SLAs
● Coordinate with carriers for timely collections
Returns & After-Sales
● Manage customer returns, including inspection, sorting, restocking, or disposal
● Record and report return reasons to improve service quality
● Support after-sales processes and resolve warehouse-related customer issues
Supplier & Vendor Management
● Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment
● Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and escalate where needed
● Provide feedback to procurement on supplier quality and reliability
Health & Safety Compliance
● Enforce H&S procedures and ensure a safe working environment for all staff
● Lead toolbox talks, safety training, and emergency drills
● Investigate and report incidents, implementing corrective actions
Training & Leadership
● Onboard and train new team members
● Conduct performance reviews and coach staff for skill development
● Foster a high-performance team culture in a fast-paced 3PL environment
Inventory & Systems Control
● Manage cycle counts, stock audits, and resolve discrepancies promptly
● Operate and train staff on WMS/ERP systems for accurate order processing
● Maintain stock accuracy across inbound, putaway, outbound, and returns
Requirements
● Over 2 years’ warehouse operations experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/team leader role (3PL experience preferred)
● Hands-on experience in inbound, putaway, dispatch, and returns/after-sales processes
● Proficient in WMS and ERP systems, with strong MS Office skills
● Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
● Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in warehouse operations
● Bendi forklift license preferred
● GCSE English and Math (or equivalent) preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
