Warehouse Picker / Operative
Due to ongoing expansion, fantastic opportunity arisen for an experienced warehouse picker / operative to join a well renowned and long-established family business in Accrington (BB5). The job consists of general warehouse duties but predominantly the picking of customer orders for next day dispatch. Any successful candidate will need to be able to pick accurately with a meticulous attention to detail.
Must be of a fit state for physical work with manual handling and lifting.
Job Type: Full-time
Annual salary of £29k (£558/week)
20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays accrued over a 12 month period.
Working Hours
Sunday to Thursday - 1.30pm - 10pm (30 mins unpaid break included)
No working on Friday or Saturday
Total of 42.5 hours per week of which 40 hours are paid with 30 minutes each day unpaid break.
What the job includes (but not limited to)
Key Responsibilities:
- Critical to have good organisational skills with the ability to pick customer orders accurately and meticulous attention to detail.
- General warehouse duties including all aspects of picking, stock receipt, stock storage and stock dispatch.
- Work to be carried out in warehouse, freezer & chiller environment.
Job requirements (NB: All are required
- Good organisational skills with the ability to pick accurately and meticulous attention to detail.
- Must have 5 years former experience in warehouse and picking.
- Counterbalance or Bendi FLT license is advantageous but not critical.
- Must be of a fit state for physical work with manual handling and lifting.
- Ability to plan and organise own workload.
