Willbond Grantham is looking for a dependable and skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team.
This is a key role in the day-to-day running of the branch. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard - from managing deliveries and picking orders to operating warehouse equipment and keeping wastage to a minimum.
We’re looking for someone who knows how to move at pace, thinks ahead, and takes ownership of the space they work in.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive, check, and sign for deliveries from suppliers
· Accurately pick and pack customer orders for collection and delivery
· Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts
· Load and unload vehicles with care, following manual handling procedures
· Maintain clear, organised stock locations to maximise efficiency
· Ensure effective rotation of stock to prevent damage and wastage
· Take a proactive role in keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and safe
· Support wider branch operations and work closely with the sales counter team
What We’re Looking For:
· Previous warehouse experience is essential
· Confident operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
· A methodical and organised approach - you take pride in high standards
· Comfortable working in a physical, fast-paced environment
· Reliable, punctual, and a strong communicator
· Someone who works well under pressure and keeps calm when it’s busy
