Warehouse Operative

We are looking to recruit 2x Warehouse Operatives on a temporary basis (3 months) to join the Warehouse team based in the North East (Newton Aycliffe - DL5 6BG).
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm and on Fridays 8am to 3.45pm (37.5 hours per week).
The Role
The role is to ensure the product makes its way to the customer at the right time and in the correct manner to avoid any disruption on our customer production lines. Working within the warehouse team ensuring that product arriving is received and processed in a timely and accurate manner to ensure high levels of stock availability.
Picking product to a high standard ensuring a “right first time” mentality is applied to the ways of working to avoid any customer disruption while maintain high batch and country of origin standards to ensure the highest level of batch and stock integrity. Packing product to a high standard to ensure it arrives undamaged upon reaching the customer destination. In addition, some driving duties may be required as and when to support business needs.
Duties include:
· Process incoming goods in a timely and accurate manner ensuring product is checked in line with the policies set out by the quality department.
· Process inbound paperwork within 24 hours of passing to ensure on time supplier payment.
· Ensure orders are shipped on time with no damage to customer demands.
· Maintain a high level of accuracy when picking orders for customers to minimise faults and errors leading to customer dissatisfaction.
· Support the stock integrity team by following housekeeping guidelines when picking stock to maintain high inventory accuracy.
· Adhere to Trifasts EHS standard while operating inside our facilities promoting a safety first culture not just for yourself but for your colleagues and co workers.
· Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles as product arrives and needs to be despatched.
· Maintain batch and country of origin traceability from receipt to despatch.
· Produce shipping paperwork.
· Clean and maintain your work area to the set standards.
· Any other reasonable duties to support the delivery of exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers.
The Candidate
We are seeking a service-driven individual with excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to solve problems effectively. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator with a solid understanding of warehousing and basic workflow processes. A basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required, and experience with D365 is an advantage, though training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be physically capable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing tasks efficiently. A proactive attitude and the ability to contribute to a collaborative working environment are key components of the role.
The ideal candidate will be used to working to deadlines in a very busy environment and can think on their feet. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate flexibility in their approach and be able to prioritise and remain focused at all times as accuracy is paramount to this role.
