Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy. Previous experience with steelwork would be an advantage.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other machinery for loading and unloading goods safely.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper techniques are used for lifting and moving heavy items.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment by stocking shelves and ensuring that all items are stored correctly.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and enhance overall efficiency within the warehouse.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving Structural Steelwork.
- Experience in operating forklifts or similar equipment is preferred; relevant certifications will be beneficial but not essential.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction may be advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
