Responsibilities Warehouse Apprentice
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Utilise software for inventory management and order processing.
- Perform picking and packing of orders with precision, preparing items for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and retrieval methods are followed.
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring safe lifting techniques are employed.
Qualifications Warehouse Apprentice
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a diverse workforce.
