Hayley Dexis is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our well-established and experienced team at our Glasgow branch, you will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the role:
Our Warehouse Assistant position at the Glasgow Branch is a busy and varied role.
You’ll be helping in the warehouse, undertaking driving duties and stocking of vending machines, typically with PPE products – don’t worry if you haven’t done this before, training will be provided.
Daily tasks will include picking, packing and dispatching goods. Within stores you could be processing stock, receipting goods and shelving items in the correct order, completing stock checks and generally helping to keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
Should you out on deliveries then you’ll making up customer orders, loading items in the van to align with your delivery route, and then you’ll be out on deliveries.
Typically, we’re looking for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks in their job and is open to learning new things. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who are computer literate and able to navigate warehousing systems.
You’ll be physically able as you’ll be on your feet most of the day and the role will involve some heavy lifting.
Working hours:
Hours are; 8:00am to 4:30pm with ½ Lunch Break.
Key responsibilities as our Warehouse Assistant will include:
- Picking and checking of orders.
- Packing orders.
- Stock-checking.
- Delivery driving as required.
- Forklift truck driving.
- Vending machines stocking & using IT systems
Skills & attributes we're looking for in our Warehouse Assistant:
- Valid UK driving licence.
- FLT licence is highly desirable.
- Experience of working in a similar warehouse environment would be beneficial.
- Must be PC literate.
- Good team player.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
