To provide an efficient and high quality clerical service, and supporting the staff responsible for inpatient care. Emphasis should be placed on confidentiality and efficiency; remaining calm, courteous and professional at all times.
You will mainly play a key role in the day to day running of busy wards and units and ensuring that the administration of the patients is completed in a timely manner. You will be expected to carry out a wide range of clerical and administrative duties. Previous secretarial/office experience essential, as is computer literacy and customer service skills.
You must be able to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times. You will be well organised and able to use your own initiative in a demanding environment, have the ability to work under pressure and be flexible. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An understanding of Patient Administration systems is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
