Children’s Waking Night Residential Care Worker
Location: The Fitzroy Academy, Shrewsbury
Hourly rate: £13.05 - £14.36 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Full-time: 4 on / 4 off rolling rota with 10-hour shifts
At New Reflexions, we are proud to provide integrated care, education, and therapy to young people aged 5–18 with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and complex needs. We are now recruiting dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our night team in our Short Break provision in Shrewsbury.

What You’ll Do as a Waking Night Worker
- Provide consistent, safe, and nurturing overnight support to young people with additional needs
- Carry out routine checks and ensure the emotional and physical wellbeing of our children during the night
- Support with personal care, if required, in a respectful and dignified manner
- Maintain accurate records, incident logs, and communicate effectively with the day staff
- Work closely with our experienced care teams and families to ensure continuity of care
What We’re Looking For
- A kind, nurturing and compassionate individual with a commitment to child-centred care
- Ability to remain alert, observant, and proactive throughout night shifts
- You must have previous experience working in a childcare setting
- Ideally hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
