Summary of Role
We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Waking Night professional to support our young people within two of our current care homes Kaima House (Ossett) & Cliffe House (Dewsbury). This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents during night-time hours. You will play a key role in providing a nurturing environment that supports the development and stability of children and young people.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the safety and well-being of residents throughout the night.
- Provide support and assistance to children and young people as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of any incidents or observations during your shift.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding any concerns or updates.
- Assist with care plans and ensure they are followed appropriately.
- Engage with residents in a positive manner to foster a supportive environment.
- Working part of a team

· This role would suit a calm, resilient, and compassionate professional with experience supporting young people with complex care needs. You will be adaptable with excellent communication skills, patient and proactive in delivering an ‘above and beyond’ care service for our young people.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare or working with children/young adults who have experienced trauma is essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and team members.
- Ability to follow care plans and provide individualised support.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping purposes
- A valid driving license.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 27 per week

- Ossett WF5 9NY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
