Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent (20–30 hours per week)
We are looking for a positive, reliable, and hard-working Personal Assistant to join a small, friendly team supporting a disabled ex-sportsman in his home.
About the Role
This is a waking night position, requiring full attentiveness and care throughout the night. The client is paralysed from the neck down and is fully ventilated 24/7 via a tracheostomy, requiring support from two PAs at all times. Trust, consistency, and dedication are essential.
The client’s home is not a clinical environment – it's a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented household. The right candidate will respect and help maintain this environment.
No prior care experience is required – full training will be provided. What matters most is a caring attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the client throughout the night to ensure their safety and well-being
- Provide assistance with evening and morning routines as needed
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the household
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with the client and team
- Contribute positively to the team dynamic and home environment
Please note: Duties may vary and are not limited to the above.
What We’re Looking For
- Kind, dependable, and proactive individual
- Good communicator with a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Comfortable working night shifts and being awake and alert throughout
- Willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the client and team
Requirements
- Proficiency in English
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own transport (due to rural location)
- Willingness to provide annual leave cover where possible
What We Offer
- £14 per hour
- Permanent part-time contract (20–30 hours per week)
- Fully paid, hands-on training
- Supportive and inclusive work environment
- Opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life
