Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are met.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to proper food presentation standards.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to culinary guidelines and food safety regulations.
- Manage multiple tables effectively while maintaining excellent time management skills.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and utensils, to provide a pleasant atmosphere for guests.
- Perform basic maths calculations for order processing and bill handling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy setting.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is an advantage.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly disposition towards customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues in the kitchen and front of house.
