Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waitress/ Kitchen Assistant to join amazing team.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food and eager to learn more about food safety and meal preparation in a cafe setting. Also good customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served safely.
- Support cook during meal preparation by providing assistance as needed.
- Help with the cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes and work surfaces after use.
- Participate in inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
- Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff.
- Taking and delivering orders to customers
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential. Full training will be given.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation.
- Front of house experience/waitressing.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends.
- Additional hours may be available over busier periods.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
