We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Front of House Assistant to join our authentic Taiwanese restaurant in London. The ideal candidate will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling orders and maintaining the dining area. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy interacting with customers and have a passion for sharing Taiwanese food culture.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, explaining menu items when needed
- Process payments and operate the point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining and service areas
- Prepare and serve beverages including traditional Taiwanese drinks
- Handle customer inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred (minimum one year experience ideal)
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Basic English communication skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge or interest in Taiwanese cuisine and culture
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
- Legal UK work visa required
