We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, using your knowledge of the menu to assist guests in their choices.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and communication regarding orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist with basic food preparation as needed during peak hours or when required by kitchen staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a genuine rapport with guests.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions.
- Understanding of food safety principles and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment while also being able to work independently when required.
