Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Upsell food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to during service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and utensils.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Process payments accurately using basic math skills.
- Assist with other restaurant duties as required, including setting up for events or special occasions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Basic culinary skills or kitchen experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Ability to provide outstanding guest services with a friendly attitude.
- Experience in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
