Oxfam Charity Retail Shop – VOLUNTEER – Homewares - Online Listing Assistants
Here in Harrogate, we are Oxfam's top online shop! We sell our most valuable, weird, and wonderful things online. Working from our online rooms, you’ll help us raise money to fight poverty and inequality. We are involved with providing training to other Oxfam shops on a local and national level, so there will be an opportunity to get involved with that too.
You will develop online retail experience and learn many transferable skills, building your CV and confidence. No experience needed as training will be given. We can provide you with a work related reference. We also pay for your lunch and travel costs.
We usually we ask for 4 - 8 hours per week. We can be very flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have. If you have a couple of hours to give to Oxfam, then we'd like to hear from you
We are currently have shifts available on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The role involves:
· Researching / valuing items online
· Writing descriptions for items
· Putting homewares onto our website (e.g. vintage toys, cameras and binoculars, ornaments, collectables, paintings and prints, jewellery, and much more)
· Computer skills desirable but not essential!

Please note that this is not a paid role and there is no salary- it is voluntary. All shifts take place in our shop, so we are looking for people in the Harrogate area.
