Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and technically minded VFX Technical Runner to join our London studio full-time. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading visual effects environment, supporting both technical operations and the day-to-day needs of the studio. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in VFX or post-production, with opportunities to grow into technical, production, or artist roles.
Key Responsibilities
Studio Runner Duties
- Maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the London studio, ensuring workspaces, common areas, and equipment are clean, organized, and functional.
- Prepare and maintain meeting rooms for client reviews, dailies, and team meetings (setting up screens, refreshments, etc.).
- Assist with ordering, stocking, and inventory of office supplies, technical gear, and studio consumables.
- Greet visitors and help onboard new starters by setting up desks, equipment, and welcome materials.
- Coordinate with building management, couriers, and vendors as needed.
- Support in organizing team lunches, events, and occasional after-hours sessions.
Technical Support
- Co-ordinate with the Editorial department to assist in prepping timelines and screening room setup for client reviews and showreel screenings.
- Assist with the transfer, management, and organization of digital assets between departments, servers, and external partners.
- Help set up, configure, and maintain artist workstations and peripherals.
- Provide first-line technical assistance to artists and production staff, escalating issues when necessary.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in the VFX, animation, or film industry.
- Basic technical knowledge of operating systems (Linux/macOS/Windows), file structures, and IT setups.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Highly organized and capable of juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Friendly, approachable, and dependable with a can-do attitude.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and available for on-site work in central London, Monday to Friday.
