The main job role includes:
- Patient care during their stay at the practice. This includes periods before, during and after surgery
- Communicating effectively with Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses
- Maintaining medical and surgical equipment
- Running laboratory tests, such as blood and urine
- Keeping the surgery clean and tidy
- Manning reception, greeting clients, taking payments and answering the telephone
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic is preferred.
This is a part time role but hours and pay are negotiable.
For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to undertake a veterinary nursing apprenticeship after approximately one year, but this is not a requirement.
