About the Role:
As a Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of the venue, supporting the management team and leading by example to deliver exceptional service.
We are a pool and snooker hall and your duties will include welcoming and looking after our guests, serving a wide variety of drinks (including hot beverages), cooking and preparing hot food safely and efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the venue, including restrooms.
This is a demanding, high-responsibility role that requires strong multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills, and the confidence to lead in a busy, high-pressure environment. You will need to make real-time decisions, manage the team effectively, and uphold our high standards across all areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Opening the venue, including disarming the alarm and setting up tills. • Ensuring keys and alarm fobs are kept safe at all times. Operational Excellence: • Using safety culture to delegate tasks effectively and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety requirements. • Monitoring progress to ensure tasks on Goaudits are on time and meet expectations. Team Supervision: • Providing guidance and support to colleagues to maintain smooth operations. • Ensuring team adherence to venue guidelines, policies, and expectations. Customer Service: • Maintaining a confident and visible presence across the venue to assist and engage with customers. • Addressing customer queries, solving problems, and handling complaints. Venue Enforcement: • Refusing entry to barred individuals and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. • Ensuring responsible alcohol service by refusing service to underage or intoxicated individuals. Reporting and Record-Keeping: • Recording operational details such as food temperatures and completing relevant checklists. • Writing and submitting notes on memberships, incidents, or damages to Jennie. Facility and Reception Management: • Ensuring equipment is used carefully and returned safely. • Managing reception to inform customers, set clear expectations, and refuse service when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 12 months experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a busy bar, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment
- Proven leadership and team coordination abilities
- Strong knowledge of food and drink service, including cocktails, draft beer, and barista coffee
- High level of initiative, responsibility, and reliability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A current Personal Licence Holder qualification is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of licensing laws, food safety, and workplace health & safety standards
- Must be 18 or over and available to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
