TIA Tyres is a leading tyre wholesaler, delivering a wide range of tyres to garages, retailers, and commercial customers across the region. With a strong focus on reliability and service excellence, we are looking for dependable Van Driver to join our logistics team and help us deliver tyres safely and efficiently to our valued customers.
Job Summary:
The Van Driver will be responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of tyres to various customers within assigned routes. The role involves loading and unloading tyres, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company van to deliver tyres to customers on scheduled routes.
- Load and unload tyres manually and using appropriate equipment if needed.
- Ensure all deliveries are signed for and any discrepancies are reported promptly.
- Maintain delivery documentation, including PODs (proof of delivery) and delivery notes.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks (tyres, lights, oil, etc.) and report any defects.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the van.
- Represent TIA Tyres professionally with a courteous attitude at all times.
- Follow all road safety laws and company transport policies.
- Assist in the warehouse during quieter delivery periods (loading, organizing stock, etc.).
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 penalty points preferred)
- Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery role preferred
- Good physical fitness – able to lift and handle tyres safely
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience delivering to tyre retailers, garages, or automotive sites
- Familiarity with the local delivery area / road network
- Forklift licence (beneficial but not required)
Special considerations:
● Must be willing to deliver tyres in the region of truck tyres 70kg in line with manual handling training and car tyres 15kg in weight and distribute as required by the customer.
● Requirement to work in all weathers.
