About the role

Applications are invited for an Undergraduate Programme Officer to work within the Student Office in the Department of Computing to deliver an efficient and effective service to our staff and students.

You will provide support for the Department’s undergraduate (UG) administration, including all admissions and relevant examination processes, assisting the UG Admissions Tutor, Senior Tutor, Director of Undergraduate Studies and Examinations Coordinator. What you would be doing

As the first point of contact for UG student services, you will provide information and advice to staff, students and other internal and external visitors to the Student Office. You will play a key role in UG admissions, processing UCAS applications, arranging interview days, and keeping track of offers made and accepted.

You will be responsible for maintaining UG student records, disseminating information to staff and students, and processing coursework. In addition, you will assist with the UG examination process, in liaison with the examinations team and external examiners, as well as coordinating departmental prize-giving, open days and taster days.

You will also be required to support other Teaching team members at busy times of year to ensure efficient service delivery, as directed by the Teaching Support Manager.
