The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a team leader level role in our transport team with responsibility for developing area transport strategies and scheme development. In this role you would need to be able to turn our Local Transport Plan into well evidenced and crafted action plans at a local level and then turn those plans into defined schemes that make a really positive difference to the lives of Hampshire residents, business and visitors.

- A relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
- Eligibility for accreditation with a recognised professional body.
You’ll bring:
- Proven programme and project management experience.
- Strong technical knowledge across transport planning functions.
- Familiarity with the Government’s 5-stage business case and funding bid processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build relationships and engage effectively.
- Political awareness and sensitivity, with an understanding of corporate strategies.
- Knowledge of relevant design guidance, standards, and planning policies at both local and national levels.
- A self-motivated, organised approach, with the ability to work at pace and adapt to uncertainty.
