Job Title: Transport Administrator
Location: Oswestry, SY10 8NH
Pay: £13 p/hr


Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00


We currently have an exciting role for a Transport Administrator providing an excellent opportunity to join the Moran Logistics team at our Oswestry site. The role is Monday – Friday, you will be required to be flexible to cover weekends when necessary.


About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Transport Manager this role is responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met and company policies and procedures are followed. Supporting the Transport Manager in developing the site and company procedures and ensuring customer service levels remain high and site teams are managed effectively.

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the transport team ensuring they are managed in line with company policies and procedures.

  • Raising purchase orders as required.
  • Ordering goods from suppliers.
  • Booking vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Update wage books and answer any queries.
  • Producing daily reports on equipment failures, VOR’s, ongoing issues and service levels
  • Undertake regular vehicle licence checks to ensure competent people drive LGV vehicles.
  • To keep accurate records of any tachograph infringements and driving license checks.
  • To carry out general office duties.

What we are looking for:

  • At Least 2 years’ office or administration experience.
  • Experience within the transport industry would be preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent relationship building and customer facing skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously.
  • Ability to listen to and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good numeracy and literacy.
