Your responsibilities will be -
Complete a running log throughout shift.
Ensure all transport tasks are carried out and completed in accordance with daily transport plan.
Supervise the transport operation.
Conduct spot checks on departing vehicles from site. Ensure the inspection log is completed.
Control trailer movements and log their destination / location.
Communicate with depots and provide regular updates on progress / problems with trucking vehicles
Ensure vehicles / trailers are loaded to capacity prior to departure
Carryout vehicle downloads as required / identified by Transport Manager
Ensure all trunk vehicles depart on time.
Monitor driver infringements
License checks
Shift times - 05:00 - 14:00 (flexible
We are looking for some who -
Is willing to take on board new commitments/responsibilities as and when required.
Has good IT, administration and communication skills
Has a flexible attitude.
Has previous experience in a transport role
Can prioritise and work under pressure
Understands current Road Transport Legislation and digital tachographs
Ideally holds a Transport Management CPC, although this is not essential
